Today, Germans head to the polls in one of the most consequential elections in its modern history. With Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s left-wing coalition in shambles and voters increasingly disillusioned by economic stagnation, unchecked migration, and ideological governance, the tide is turning—and the establishment is panicking.
Polls show a surging center-right Christian Democratic Union (CDU/CSU), led by Friedrich Merz, poised to reclaim leadership after nearly two decades of Angela Merkel’s globalist drift and Scholz’s failed socialist experiment. But the real shocker of this election is the rise of Alternative for Germany (AfD), the nationalist-populist party that the German elite and EU bureaucrats have spent years trying to suppress. AfD is projected to secure its strongest result in history, polling at nearly 20%, making it Germany’s second-largest party. The establishment media calls this a crisis—ordinary Germans call it a necessary reckoning.
The Collapse of Scholz’s Socialist Order
Scholz’s Social Democratic Party (SPD) is set to suffer a historic collapse, polling between 14-16%. That would be its worst performance in postwar Germany, a direct rebuke of the chancellor’s feeble leadership. From skyrocketing energy prices driven by green policies to the erosion of public safety due to mass migration, Germans are rejecting the progressive status quo.
The leftist government’s commitment to open borders has pushed Germany’s immigration system to the brink. Violent crime has surged, and cities have been transformed by cultural clashes. While Scholz and his globalist allies insist on Germany’s “moral responsibility” to accommodate millions of newcomers, the people who bear the consequences are voting with their feet—straight toward nationalist alternatives.
AfD’s Rise: A Revolt Against the EU and the Globalist Order
For years, Germany’s ruling elite has demonized the AfD, labeling them as far-right extremists, banning their social media accounts, and even proposing constitutional measures to outlaw the party. But their efforts have backfired. AfD’s surge in support shows that Germans are fed up with being lectured by bureaucrats in Brussels and betrayed by politicians in Berlin.
AfD represents a true alternative to the failing policies of the establishment. A government influenced by AfD would prioritize strict border controls, an end to open-door migration policies, and the deportation of criminal migrants. Violent crime, which has skyrocketed due to unchecked migration, would finally be tackled with law-and-order policies instead of politically correct excuses. Germans deserve safe neighborhoods, not failed multicultural experiments.
Another key pillar of AfD’s platform is the restoration of free speech. Under Germany’s current government, conservative voices have been routinely silenced, dissent against government policies labeled as “hate speech,” and social media platforms pressured to censor opposition. AfD has pledged to protect free expression, ensuring that citizens can openly debate the most critical issues facing their country without fear of persecution.
Alice Weidel: The Leader Who Can Save Germany
At the forefront of this movement is Alice Weidel, co-leader of AfD and one of the most formidable figures in German politics. Weidel is a stark contrast to the tired faces of Germany’s establishment—she is unapologetically nationalist, pro-sovereignty, and committed to reversing Germany’s decline. Unlike the career politicians of the CDU and SPD, Weidel is a leader who understands the consequences of mass migration, economic strangulation by Brussels, and the erosion of German identity.
Weidel has made it clear that under an AfD-led government, Germany’s borders will be secured, its laws will be enforced, and its people will no longer be second-class citizens in their own country. She has called for a complete overhaul of the asylum system, a halt to illegal migration, and a return to policies that put Germans first. Her leadership represents a clear alternative to the weak centrism of Friedrich Merz and the failed leftism of Olaf Scholz.
Despite the media’s relentless attacks, Weidel has gained massive support from working-class Germans who feel abandoned by the ruling class. She has also made defense of free speech a central part of her campaign, fighting against the censorship laws imposed by the current regime and the EU’s push for total control over digital discourse.
Under Weidel’s leadership, AfD has also proposed economic reforms aimed at reducing Germany’s dependence on EU regulations and revitalizing German industry. The European Union, long a dominant force in dictating German economic policies, has weakened the nation’s industries through environmental mandates and energy restrictions. Weidel has vowed to put Germany’s economic interests ahead of Brussels’ demands, ensuring that German manufacturing, energy production, and technological development are restored to full strength.
She has also been a vocal critic of Germany’s participation in the EU’s disastrous green policies that have left citizens struggling with skyrocketing energy costs. AfD under Weidel opposes the forced transition to unreliable renewable energy at the expense of national stability. Instead, she advocates for energy independence through a mix of nuclear, coal, and other reliable power sources to guarantee affordable electricity for German families and businesses.
What Comes Next?
With no single party securing a majority, coalition talks will determine Germany’s future. The CDU/CSU may attempt to form a center-right government, but will they listen to the millions of Germans demanding tougher migration laws, economic nationalism, and a return to traditional values? Or will they try to sideline AfD and maintain the same tired policies that have driven voters to the right in the first place?
A stronger AfD means a stronger Germany—one that puts its own citizens first, secures its borders, and rejects the destructive influence of Brussels bureaucrats. The people have spoken, and the political class can no longer ignore their demands. This election could be the first step in taking Germany back from the forces that have weakened it for decades.
Germany’s election is a wake-up call for the West. Just as Donald Trump’s return to power in America has reignited the populist fire, Germany’s rejection of the leftist establishment signals that nationalist conservatism is alive and well. The globalist order is crumbling, and the people are taking their countries back.
Europe is shifting, and today’s election in Germany may be the first of many dominoes to fall.
